Construction work in the Arctic is unique due to unpredictable climatic conditions. To complete construction work on time, it was decided to build constriction workshops that would a venue for construction works in strong frosts and at gale storm winds. 

In 2014 Velesstroy concluded ЕРС-contract with “Sout Tambey LNG” for construction of temporary facilities.

Under this EPC contract Velesstroy has built three workshops at the marshalling area. The main production building size (area) is 105 х 120 meters and the height is 35m, it is based on piles in quantity of 756 pieces and 23 meters long each. Total weight of steel structures is of production building is 3 500 t. The building is equipped with 10 cranes with lifting capacity 10 tons and 10 cranes weighing 20 tons which are designed for assembly of main trains. Besides the main production building another pipe fabrication building was built with dimensions 100 x 18 m and a height of 15 meters, based on the 23-meter piles, in quantity of 216 pieces. Also the secondary production building with dimensions 72 x 18 meters and a height of 25 meters was built basing on 23-meter long piles, in quantity of 156 pieces. Besides the canteen was built for 800 people, as well as garage for self-propelled modular trailers and storage area for heavy weight hoisting equipment.

The Jetty site is another place for Velesstroy construction activities - production facility for welding pipes with dimensions 102 x 34 meters and a height of 24 meters, based on piles 23 meters long in quantity of 324 pieces. The facility is equipped with 8 cranes with lifting capacity 20 t. Total weight of steel structure of pipes welding production facility is 800 t.
